Current design trend that you think should take an early retirement?
Cheap “gold” hardware. Hardware is touched hundreds, if not thousands, of times in a high traffic space like a kitchen over its lifetime. Opting for true metals like nickel and brass will look great with age and patina and stand the test of time.
What are your three "must haves" in order to create an inviting space?
Color, texture and scale!
What are some design upgrades you recommend to clients that won't break the bank?
Paint! Paint "drenching" a room. If you paint the ceiling, millwork and walls all the same color it gives the wow factor without the wow price tag.
