It's been a month since we returned home from our favorite conference of the year - The Southern C and I am still on a high!  This year was my 4th time attending and a first for Emily and Connor.  I loved having them along with me to experience the magic that is The Southern C.  It is run by two amazing entrepreneurs - Whitney Long and Cheri Leavy - whose mission it is to support and empower female business owners and creatives through their motto - connect, collaborate, create.  To say that the Southern C has helped me to build and grow my business is an understatement.  The icing on top of all the wonderful takeaways, speakers, and people I meet is that it is FUN!  The days are filled with beachside luncheons, shopping happy hours mixed with boozy specialty cocktails, fun dinners, and silent discos.  These ladies really do take work hard, play hard to another level.

Of course, I am biased but one of the most special parts for me was when Well + Wonder artists Eleanor-Scott Davis and Caroline Chriss were asked to live paint (and collage!) the spectacular marsh scenes during the Wednesday night welcome party at Village Creek Landing.  By now you all know that I am no artist so I cannot imagine how intimidating it must be to get up there and practice your craft in front of hundreds of people!  But these ladies took it to another level and were gracious and pleasant despite the dropping temps and the fact we ran out of shrimp and grits!  Caroline was so inspired by her first trip to the beloved Golden Isles that she created a collection of paintings all inspired by the Sea Island beaches and marshes.  Please take a moment and view the collection HERE.
