Eleanor Scott works out of her home studio in Raleigh, North Carolina. A space filled with light and little-girl laughter
Acrylic and oil
Eleanor Scott Davis studied English and Studio Art at Wake Forest University. She went on to earn a Masters of Fine Art in Creative Writing with a concentration in Poetry. She is drawn to the way abstract art, like poetry, is left open to individual interpretation. Eleanor Scott considers her artistic process to be directly linked to her role as a mother. The forgiving nature of acrylics allows her to create often with her three girls alongside her in the studio. The result is bold abstracts and simple landscapes that are richly textured, deeply saturated in color and full of happy energy.
