The cat is out of the bag!! New week, new release, new artist...welcome, Elizabeth Wilson! Friends and clients have mentioned Elizabeth's works as some they’d love to see in our collection - and when y’all ask, we can’t help but answer. Elizabeth and her debut collection have arrived and it's a joy to officially announce her as part of our team! Elizabeth, a native of Austin, Texas, was named after her grandmother, a talented artist whose work filled the walls of her childhood home. Elizabeth earned a bachelor's degree in business marketing from the University of Mississippi while studying under talented artists at Laguna Gloria, where her technique was further developed. Her work is inspired by the natural beauty of plants and flowers, embracing their imperfections. Through vibrant colors and textured layers, Elizabeth seeks to capture light and movement, inviting viewers to embark on an imaginative journey. Her goal is to create art that encourages others to appreciate the beauty and color found in the world around them. Elizabeth's inaugural Well + Wonder release is TOMORROW, Monday, February 10th, at 12 pm Eastern time. (mark those calendars) BUT until then read all about the artist behind the paintbrush in our latest post Pardon Me, Elizabeth Wilson?

What is currently on your nightstand?
Two books I have started: chapstick and a Capri blue volcano candle (my favorite!)
Who is your biggest influence as an artist and why?
This isn’t a person but I am really influenced by interior design. The colors and patterns in textiles give me so much inspiration. I love to look through magazines or Instagram pages and find new color combinations.
Tell us about your childhood. What is the most memorable moment as a young person?
I grew up in a big family with three older brothers. We called our back door “the revolving door” because there were always people over, some of my favorite memories are when the house was full of friends and family.
If you could only have one supply in your art studio, what would it be and why?
I would pick my paints, I could mix colors for days!
What is your favorite room in your house? Describe it.
My room! I have white linen bedding and colorful floral pillows. I have lamps and trinkets that have been gifted to me over the years. It is definitely the room I feel the most comfortable in!
What is your biggest score online?
A bed frame I had wanted for a long time went on a sale for 50% off. This was a couple years ago and it is still one of my favorite things I own!

What is the benefit of buying art through a collective? What do you recommend for those that are new to buying original art?
A collective showcases a variety of styles, so you have the opportunity to explore many different unique artists with different sizes and price points. For those new to buying original art, I always tell people you don’t need to find the "perfect" spot for a piece. If a piece resonates with you, there will always be a place for it!
If you have the entire day to spend in an art museum, which one and why?
Definitely The Louvre, cliche but, I don’t think you could not spend the entire day there.
What is your favorite hotel and what makes it special?
The Brazilian Court Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida. I love a smaller boutique hotel, my mom and I went for my 21st birthday and it is one of my favorite memories!
If you were a lipstick color would you be red, pink, or clear and why?
I think I would be pink. I can’t stay away from pink in my home, clothing, or paintings!
I can never get on a plane without….
Headphones!
How did you get into the world of art?
Creativity has always been a part of my life. As a child, I loved making things—whether it was coloring, creating photo albums, painting, or decorating my room. Also, my grandmother whose paintings inspired me from a young age, played a big role in drawing me into the art world.

What do you do to relax?
I love to have a glass of wine or make some tea and put on a comfort movie!
When do you get the biggest surge of inspiration?
After travel, new experiences, or nature walks.
Prediction for the Color of 2026?
Cobalt blue or red
What is your idea of a date night? Dinner and a movie or dancing all night?
Dancing all night in the summer but definitely dinner and a movie when it’s cold out!
Tell us about your favorite painting that you have created.
A floral piece I did last year called “Begonias”. I loved the colors in that piece. It was a painting that happened almost by accident but I ended up loving it.
One piece of advice for buying original art?
An original painting is completely one-of-a-kind and doesn’t go “out of style”. If you find something you truly love, it can move with you, from room to room or even house to house, always adding something special and completely unique to your space. I think keeping that in mind when buying original art makes it less intimidating.
