Introducing Guest Curators, sister duo, and business mavens Neely and Chloe Burch! Neely and Chloe, and their fabulous eponymous line of leather goods and travel accessories, have been on our radar for a while now. We've lusted after their purses, and wanted for their travel bags (they look SO functional!) for many years that when the opportunity to merge minds and collaborate came up - we could not have said yes fast enough! So, we are simply over the moon to welcome these ladies to our blog today and even more excited to launch our upcoming collaboration featuring hand-painted purses, card cases, wallets, clutches from the sister's brand launching Monday, October 25th at 9 am EST. SAVE THAT DATE!

In an attempt to distract ourselves as we count down the minutes until the Well + Wonder x Neely & Chloe collab is live we thought it would be fun, and only natural, to host Neely and Chloe as the latest Guest Curators to comb through our collection. So keep reading to learn about the paintings that these sisters are currently coveting and more importantly to learn about these incredibly talented women! Thank you, ladies. Working with you both has been such a treat!

^^That’s the pretty soundbite, but down deep, we’re just two sister passionate about creating great—we mean great—handbags. We focus on timeless silhouettes that are meant to be used for years. And we LOVE to partner with other creatives. The sense of whimsy and fun that well and wonder has brought to these bags is exactly the kind of collaboration we love at N&C

Where do you turn for inspiration?

We often start very close to home, with our Mom. She always showed us that fewer pieces that you love are what make a wardrobe fabulous. Turns out this translates to home and design as well!! We also like to pick up nuggets of ideas from travel and often old movies— design is cyclical, it all comes back!

Do you recall your first piece of artwork? We would love to hear details!

Neely- Yes!! I was 14 and traveling with my Dad in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We went to a market and after a little lesson in negotiating, I purchased two female sketches and had them framed when I came home. They’ve traveled with me to college in Virginia, 5 New York City apartments and now are a bright spot in our closet in my house.

It is said to look for art that "makes your heart skip a beat." What aspects of art make your heart sing?

What is your most cherished piece of art—whether a child’s drawing or a priceless piece?

Chloe- A small landscape oil painting by a local painter in Bozeman, Montana. Our parents gave each of us one from a small gallery for Christmas when I was 20. It was given with the intention to be the spark of a burgeoning art collection and the hope that we would develop a love for collecting.
