BIO

Melissa is an abstract and paper collage artist whose work celebrates coastal beauty and Lowcountry lifestyle. Influences of Southern landscapes and coasts appear often in her work, along with details of her many travels throughout the years. A native Atlantan, Melissa and her family recently moved back home to Georgia after many years of moving across the Southeast thanks to her husband’s time serving as a Navy pilot. Constantly inspired by the textures and colors of the natural landscapes around her, Melissa’s pieces are a blend of traditional and modern; it’s classic Southern style meets California cool.
