BIO

Laura Tate was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she grew up painting and taking art classes her whole life. After graduating from Auburn University in 2010 with a Bachelors degree in Apparel Merchandising, she moved back to North Carolina and got back in touch with her creative side. Her work is inspired by color and the people in her life. The western flare comes from visits to Colorado, where her sister lives. The collage elements comes from always collecting old photographs and magazines.  Laura loves the idea of giving something old, new life, and meaning!  From painting old found photos to collaging them into wester boots, she lets her heart take the lead.
