Katie works from a home studio alongside her best bud, a truly enormous labradoodle named Bruce Bringsteen. After particularly focused studio sessions, they both emerge nearly covered in paint. And neither would have it any other way.

BIO

Katie Howson is a Charlotte, NC-based artist specializing in mixed media. As a former creative director and sometimes-copywriter, Katie’s work centers on a fascination with the space between language and meaning. It is in this liminal space where opportunities for connection, empathy, and understanding arise. The use of symbology, bold color, rich texture, and grid-like compositions are characteristic of her work in exploring this concept.
