Shelby paints from her home in Hattiesburg, Mississippi that she shares with her daughter and husband. Her light-filled studio is surrounded by acres of land and overlooks oak, magnolia, and pine trees, a little pond, a garden, chickens, and goats.

Shelby graduated from William Carey University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in 2018. Shelby’s paintings are deeply inspired by nature and her faith. She creates colorful, whimsical, and expressive representations of botanicals and landscapes. With each collection that she creates, she is learning more about her faith. As she works through her paintings, she feels God is working on her spirit and throughout the process brings forth a message, a scripture, a small encouragement that she needs in her life and that she feels called to share with others.
