Erin Donahue Tice
A casita behind my home - when we moved into our house last year I knew it would be perfect as my studio! I love being able to work from home, while still having my own dedicated space.
Mixed media, on canvas
Erin Donahue Tice is a self-taught abstract artist. Her bold use of color, layers of texture, various mediums, and the definition – and absence of – shapes and spaces transport the viewer to another place in time. Following a 12-year career in corporate PR, Erin started painting after the birth of her second son as both a creative and therapeutic outlet. Erin's medium of choice is acrylics but she also experiments with mixed mediums. She is drawn to the object nature of abstract art and loves the free-flowing experience of creating something unexpected. She especially loves the process of marrying interior design with art, and often uses beautiful interiors as a jumping off point for many of her works. Erin also draws inspiration from her "happy place," East Hampton, where she has spent her summers since 2010. Erin resides in Austin, TX with her husband Bill and their two little boys, William and George.
