The wonderful and creative world of Redux Contemporary Art Center in Charleston, South Carolina.
Acrylic, gouache and oil
Influenced by the work of 19th-century French artist Paul Cézanne, Kate’s hope is to paint subjects “in a refreshing and distinct way that allows the human eye to detect the image through color and line.” Originally from Columbus, Georgia, Kate graduated with a BFA in studio art from the College of Charleston, where she recalls realizing early on that her paintings looked very different from the rest of the class. The young artist’s use of vivid colors and her unique style has served her well. Her paintings of animals. barns, still life scenes and nudes often sell quickly.
